Wooster, Ohio, May 27 - June 1, 2022
At the end of our Upstate New York Trip, we continued on to Wooster, Ohio and stayed with Candace’s Mom, Beverly McCoy. The occasion was a celebration of her 95th birthday. The celebration was a few days early, but having it over Memorial Day weekend allowed many more people to come. It as held in the Wooster Elks Lodge and was very well attended. Besides family, Beverly has friends from her neighborhood, bridge club, golf games, and church!
On Sunday, May 29, we attended a Memorial Day Service at the military cemetery where Candace’s Dad is interred.
On Monday, Beverly took us to a Cleveland Guardians Game. She has season tickets!
On Tuesday, there were no particular activities planned, so Candace and I rode our bikes to the Secrest Arboretum and did a short tour. It was only our second bike ride of the vacation.
Wednesday morning, I dropped Candace off at the Cleveland airport, where she caught a plane to Florida to attend a conference. I drove back to NJ.
