New Roof, February 13, 2019
My roof started leaking around the kitchen skylight in the fall of 2018. Actually, it had probably been leaking some time before that as we noticed stains around the skylight before Jane died. In any case, by Christmas, it was dripping onto the kitchen floor and my annual wine and cheese holiday party had to have buckets on the floor!
I contracted with Trenton Roofing and Siding for a new roof with skylight. After some weather delays they were able to put on the new roof on February 13. I was impressed with how fast they worked. They knocked on the door at 6:30 in the morning and by about 1:30 they were done except for the clean up. There were at least 8 men working on the project. The first thing they had to do was clean off a light snow!
Once the new roof was installed, I repaired the kitchen ceiling myself. The entire project finished on February 27.
