Jim Peebles received the Nobel Prize in Physics on October 8, 2019, “for contributions to our understanding of the evolution of the universe and Earth’s place in the cosmos” and specifically for “for theoretical discoveries in physical cosmology.” That morning there was a reception in the Princeton Physics department and that afternoon, a Princeton University press conference in Alexander Hall followed by a reception in the Rockefeller Common Room. Here are just a few pictures.
