I’ve been noticing that the Lawrence Hopewell Trail is getting a new segment which will obviate the need to ride along Old Mill Road and through the Equestrian center to get to Rosedale Park from the trail along Pennington Rocky Hill Road.
On the morning of June 4, it looked like the new segment might be open. So i tried it out. The trail and four small bridges seemed to be complete, but the very large bridge (as trail bridges go) over the Stony Brook proper was still missing it’s ramps. Photos of the four new bridges are below. In addition there’s one end of the larger bridge. All these photos were taken the morning of June 4. I’ve included a photo from May 26, show the large bridge which still needs its ramps.
