Cycling the Erie Canal, July 12-20, 2025
I Cycled the Erie Canal in the year 2000 which was the 175th anniversary of the canal. There were lots of celebrations along the way and roughly 200 riders participated. I put on my bucket list to do it again in the year 2025 when it would be the 200th anniversary of the opening of the canal.
Candace came with me and we rode the 400 miles in eight days with roughly 600 other riders. We used Comfy Campers who set up a tent for us (and quite a few other folks) each night. Along with the tent, an air mattress, two towels and two chairs were included.
