Christmas Holidays, December 24-29, 2012
Our Holidays were slightly complicated by Jeff and Amy’s travel and work schedules. Amy arrived on December 23, and departed on the 30th. Jeff could only make it from the 22nd to the 25th. We celebrated Christmas on the 24th when they were both here for the whole day!
On the 29th, Jane, Amy, and Ed drove to New York City, where we took in Times Square, the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, had dinner at Le Bernardin, and then saw the musical “Wicked,” which we all enjoyed. We arrived at the restaurant before they opened, so we had a drink down the street at Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
The play and dinner were what Jane had planned to do with friends Sue and Terry before the arrival of Hurricane Sandy. She was able to exchange the tickets she had for that occasion for the ones we used in December.
