BS Tour, September 17-19, 2024, Scotland
On the morning of September 17, we took a train from Edinburgh to Stirling and checked into the Colessio Hotel.
Then we walked up to the Stirling Castle. Candace had visited it some years ago and remembered it as quite run down. It’s been fixed up, including new, wool weavings of the Unicorn Tapestries which are thought to have been at the castle during the reign of King James V. The originals are at the Cloisters - part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art - in NYC
September 18, we took a train to Perth (and back) to see the Stone of Scone and tour the Unicorn museum.
September 19, we took a train to Glasgow, checked into a hotel, and did a short tour of the city.
